Relay of the Champions is an event by Raifiki Runners Limited and Indierunner. It reimagines the relay as more than passing a baton, it becomes a symbol of community, where each runner carries not just momentum, but the stories, support, and spirit of the team.
Across two days, teams run 240KM from Kapchorwa to Iten, a journey rooted in East Africa’s running culture.
5K? Done. 10K? Done. Marathon? Been there. This is different. Relay of the Champions isn’t about another distance, it’s about stepping into something bigger, together.

The design demand
The design journey for Relay of the Champions, was about translating a bold idea into a powerful visual experience. Starting from the core concept, we built an identity that captures the energy, connection, and movement behind this one-of-a-kind relay.
Inspired by the landscapes between Kapchorwa and Iten, the design reflects endurance, teamwork, and shared purpose. From typography to color and storytelling, every element was crafted to embody the spirit of pushing limits together, where each step carries more than distance, it carries meaning.
This project wasn’t just about creating visuals, but about shaping an experience that feels as powerful and unforgettable as the race itself.
